VVAF conducts many construction projects related to education in Vietnam. In 2006-2007, VVAF supported Hoi Ninh commune, in the Kim Son district, Ninh Binh province in building a 2-story building with 6 multifunction classrooms, a library, working-rooms for teachers, equipped with 20 computers for 350 students to study.
In 2007-2008, VVAF supported the Tan Tien commune, in the Van Giang district, Hung Yen province in building 2-story building with 8 classrooms and restroom of Tan Tien Middle School with a total area of over 800 square miles. The building also has a ramp for wheelchair users. By this time, the construction of VVAF education projects has reached the national design standard of the Ministry of Education & Training Vietnam.
The Muong-Phang Commune Project
Next year, VVAF will support new construction at No.3 Primary School, Muong-Phang Commune, in the Dien Bien district. The project is slated to be funded using funds from a grant from Boeing. Muong phang Commune is home to many students from ethnic minorities.
The construction project will build a new building at the school, upgrading the current infrastructure at the school.
The A-Luoi Kindergarten Project
Another construction project that VVAF has undertaken is the project to build facilities for kindergarten classes in A-Luoi, in the Thua Thien-Hue Province.
The province borders Laos and is home to the Ta-Oi minority.The project, like other construction efforts undertaken by VVAF, has been funded by Boeing.
The Impact of VVAF's Education Programs
VVAF education programs have led to the construction of high quality schools throughout Vietnam as well as the provision of scholarships and school supplies given to students in Vietnam.
